Founded in 1961, Chomedey houses about 25% of the island’s population due to it’s location. South of laval connected to Cartierville, Montreal via the lachapelle bridge and having lots of commercial activity as well as being in between 2 important highways.
A very popular streamer named Félix Lengyel, Alias XQC was born in this exact neighborhood and now makes millions from streaming and being globally known. You don’t have to be from a rich neighborhood or a wealthy background in order to make it big and i find it inspiring.
From my time there i noticed that a lot of people that lived around us were greek, I have no problem with greek folks, they're great. But i wonder what made them go to that nieghborhood specifically that was appealing. I had one romanian family living next door and most houses around us were greek families or old couples which i still remember till this day.
